Between the tuba, the trombones, the clarinets, and a crowd that came to dance, the tarola has to sit on top of everything — every hit, all night, without you having to fight for it.

The Aztec was built for that job. The shell is 8×14 stainless steel with no center bead: dense, unbroken, and wide open. Stainless gives you the hard leading edge and the long carry that a wall of brass demands, and the 8" depth keeps a real body underneath it, so the drum still speaks like a drum instead of a snap.

Aztec Gold die-cast hoops on both sides tighten the focus and put serious weight behind a rimshot — louder, shorter, and easier to place exactly where you want it. Ten 4½" Aztec Gold tube lugs carry tension across the full depth of the shell rather than pulling at the ends, so once you dial the drum in, it stays there through the whole set. Twenty stainless tension rods, a single vent, and a matched Aztec Gold strainer and butt plate finish the system.

Aquarian Hi-Energy on the batter side gives you a texture-coated head with a center power dot — built for hard players and high tuning without going brittle. Underneath, a Hi-Performance snare side and 25 strands keep the response crisp and even, edge to center.

The look is deliberately loud too: a mirror-polished stainless shell against warm Aztec Gold hardware, with the FSDC badge and Crossland cross set into the shell. It photographs as well as it plays.

Tuned high, this drum cracks. Tuned medium, it opens up and rings with authority. Either way, it will be heard.
